Introducing the Sea Foam Laptop Sleeve! It’s been a long time coming and there were multiple ideas I had for a laptop sleeve, but FINALLY I decided on one, and am very very happy with the result.
The ocean colours remind me of foamy waves.
The pattern uses a wavy theme with puff stitches giving a nice amount of padding. I made it using 100% recycled cotton yarn which gives a nice rustic colour to it!
It really is a beautiful stitch. I am not sure how many other crocheters are out there reading this blog, but if you want me to share the stitch pattern just let me know in the comments!
Its stunning. I love the puff stitches. It makes it really stand out. You choose perfect colours for this. 🙂 Well done!

Hey thanks I am glad you like it! So I did a single crochet edge all the way around so I had a nice straight line, then additionally single crocheted the sides together where I wanted to join them. This is a decent guide on how to single crochet around: http://www.crochetspot.com/crochet-finish-technique-crochet-evenly-around/

Hi I did the multiples of 17, and made 70 stitches for the first row but why is at the end of the first row it’s not exact 3dc dec there’s still 3 more stitches remaining 😦 please reply, I wanna make that exact laptop sleeve also 😦

Hey Nicole, I just tried starting the first row as you’ve done it (with chain 70 to start) and it’s worked out for me. So I end up with 3 dc dec right at the end… with no chain stitches left over. Only thing I can think of is maybe you counted the original chain stitches wrong?

Hey Jessica, I don’t have a strict pattern for the whole case. As usual, it was a bit of trial and error on my side. But you can get the stitch pattern here http://www.crochetmagazine.com/stitch_patterns.php?pattern_id=124
Just keep going until it wraps around the laptop your making it for!

Love the design and colors. Could you suggest a brand for cotton yarn?

Hey Sarita, I’ve only used cotton yarn from Drops. For this particular design I used Drops Paris because it is thicker than their other cottons, and the colours are quite pretty 🙂 The ply does split sometimes which is frustrating, but maybe that’s common in all types of cotton yarn?

Your case is lovely. I just got a MacBook Air (older version) and it needs this sleeve lol. I’m going to give it a try. I’m hoping it turns out right!
